Each key can be set for a function such as busy-lamp-field monitoring, speed-dial, call park or pickup, so a receptionist can see who is on a call and transfer to them with one press instead of hunting through a directory. The two arrow keys switch between pages, giving 20 keys per page and up to 40 lines of monitored or programmed extensions on a single module. A 4.3-inch color TFT display (480×272) shows key labels and status without a paper insert. The module is powered directly from the host phone when used alone, or from a 12V/1A power supply once two or more modules are chained.

What the GBX20 does at a busy desk

Once attached to a supported phone, the GBX20 works as a live status board: each programmed key lights in one of two colors to show whether the monitored extension is free or on a call, so a call can be transferred the moment the target line is free rather than by trial and error. Beyond BLF monitoring, keys can be set for speed-dial, presence, intercom, voice conferencing, call transfer and call forwarding — the same functions available on the host phone’s own line keys, extended across more extensions. Up to four modules can be daisy-chained off a single phone, giving as many as 160 monitored or programmed lines from one desk — enough for an operator covering an entire department rather than a handful of colleagues. The module’s own interface is animation-driven directly from the host phone, so there is no separate configuration screen to learn.

Where a Grandstream GBX20 extension module earns its place in Saudi offices

The GBX20 fits front-desk and dispatch roles where one person routes calls for a whole floor or department: a corporate reception monitoring managers’ lines, a clinic’s front office watching which doctors are free, or a logistics dispatcher keeping an eye on drivers’ extensions alongside a base radio system. Because keys can be set to call park and pickup as well as BLF, the same console covers both “who’s free to take this call” and “grab that call someone parked for me” without switching screens. The presence and intercom functions also suit a small executive floor where an assistant needs to check colleagues’ availability before interrupting with a call.

Which desk phones the GBX20 works with

The GBX20 is built to attach to specific Grandstream desk phones — the GRP2615, GRP2624, GRP2650 and GRP2670 from the GRP carrier-grade series, and the GXV3350 and GXV3450 video/collaboration phones. It is not a standalone device: it draws its display logic and, in a single-module setup, its power from whichever of these phones it’s attached to, and firmware updates download through that same host-phone connection rather than a separate update process. Buying the right host phone alongside the GBX20 (or confirming an existing desk phone is on this compatibility list) is the deciding factor before ordering — the module itself is identical regardless of which of the six supported phones it’s paired with.

Deployment notes

The GBX20 ships with the extension board, a base stand, a connector plate that joins it to the host phone, mounting screws, a USB cable and a quick installation guide. A single module draws power from the host phone with no extra cabling; from the second module onward, the chain needs its own 12V/1A power supply. The unit measures 210 x 124 x 33.5 mm and weighs 360 g. Rated operating temperature is 0°C to 40°C with 10–90% non-condensing humidity, and storage temperature extends to -10°C to 60°C, which covers standard office conditions without extra environmental protection. Because configuration and firmware both route through the host phone, adding or reassigning keys is done from the same provisioning workflow already used to manage the desk phone itself.

Package Contents

GBX20 Extension Board

Base Stand

Extension Board Connector Plate

Screws

USB cable

Quick Installation Guide

The Grandstream GBX20 extension module adds 20 programmable BLF keys and a 4.3-inch display to a compatible Grandstream desk phone, with up to 160 lines across 4 daisy-chained units.

[497
510

post-5664","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_brand-grandstream","product_cat-telephony-accessories","first","onbackorder","taxable","shipping-taxable","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
