The Grandstream GRP2634 is an 8-line professional carrier-grade IP phone positioned as the balanced choice in the GRP26 series — enough line capacity and connectivity for a busy desk, at a price point that does not require the extra display size or dual-Gigabit port of the larger models in the range. It ships with a 2.8-inch TFT color LCD (320×240), 8 physical line keys, and support for up to 12 SIP accounts, giving it enough headroom to host a primary extension alongside call-forwarding or shared-line setups without moving up to a higher-tier phone. Gigabit Ethernet with PoE lets it draw power directly from a PoE switch, and Wi-Fi 6 support on hardware revision 5.0 and above adds a wireless deployment option where a new network drop is not practical.

What the Grandstream GRP2634 Handles Day to Day

On the desk, the GRP2634’s 2.8-inch color display keeps line status, caller ID, and menu navigation legible without the bulk of a larger screen, and its 8 line keys give a user enough programmable capacity to keep several extensions, a shared line, and a couple of BLF (busy-lamp-field) monitors visible at once. HD audio and 5-way local conferencing cover routine internal calls — bringing a colleague into a customer call, or running a short three- or four-person huddle — without needing a separate conferencing device. Headsets connect over RJ9 or USB, so agents who spend most of the day on calls can stay hands-free using whatever headset the organization already standardizes on. Enterprise security features protect the signaling and configuration layer, which matters once a phone sits behind PoE on a shared office network rather than an isolated line.

Where It Fits in Saudi Offices and Facilities

In a Saudi SME office or a branch of a larger company, the GRP2634 suits reception and general staff desks where a handful of lines, a shared-line setup with a manager’s extension, and clear caller-ID legibility matter more than a large touchscreen. Contracting and facilities-management offices that run PoE cabling as part of a broader structured-cabling job can standardize on it across open-plan desks, since PoE removes the need for a separate power brick at every position. In a compound or a small clinic reception area, the Wi-Fi 6 option lets a phone go up in a spot the Ethernet run did not reach, without waiting on additional cabling work. It also fits call centers or support desks running a moderate number of concurrent lines per agent, where 12 SIP accounts is enough to route a primary line plus overflow or supervisor monitoring.

Positioning Against the Rest of the GRP26 Family

Within the GRP26 lineup, the GRP2634 sits above the compact single- and dual-line desk sets and below the larger-screen, higher-line-count models built for executive desks or attendant consoles. Compared with its close sibling the GRP2636, which steps up to 12 line keys and a larger 4.3-inch (480×272) display with dual Gigabit Ethernet and a noise-shield speakerphone, the GRP2634 trades some of that screen real estate and line-key count for a lower-cost unit that still keeps the same core PoE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth capability. That makes the GRP2634 the natural fit when a business needs to equip most desks with a capable, PoE-powered phone and reserve the GRP2636 for desks that genuinely need the larger display and extra line keys — reception, dispatch, or a supervisor’s station.

Deployment Notes

Because the GRP2634 draws power over PoE via its Gigabit Ethernet port, deployment planning should confirm the PoE switch or injector budget covers every unit added to a floor, particularly in offices standardizing on PoE to avoid separate power adapters at each desk. Where Wi-Fi 6 is used instead of a wired run, confirm the unit is on hardware revision 5.0 or above, since that is the revision the wireless capability is tied to. The bundled 12V power adapter, network cable, and phone stand cover a standard desk install out of the box, while the included Quick Installation Guide and GPL license documentation are enough for an IT team doing a self-managed rollout without vendor support on-site.
