Overview

The Grandstream DP752 DECT base station is the mid-tier model in the DP75 family — it keeps the same 10-SIP-account, 5-handset capacity as the entry unit but moves to a larger enclosure, adds ECO energy-saving mode, and includes push-to-talk activated by handset proximity and motion. It registers up to five DP-series DECT handsets, with outdoor range reaching 400 meters when paired with a DP730, DP725 or DP735 handset, or 350 meters with a DP722 or DP720. Indoors, coverage is rated at 50 meters from the base. Power comes from a PoE switch port (IEEE802.3af Class 1, 0.44W–3.84W) or the included 5VDC/1A adapter, so the base can be mounted centrally on a site regardless of where a power socket sits.

How the DP752 works on site

The DP752 bridges DECT handsets to the SIP side of a phone system, using Circular, Linear, Parallel or DID Call Group ring modes to route incoming calls to the right handset or group. Its 750-entry call log keeps a working history of calls on the base itself, useful when staff need to check a missed number without pulling records from the PBX. ECO Mode reduces radio transmission power when full range is not needed, and the push-to-talk feature — triggered by the handset’s proximity and accelerometer sensors — lets a paired handset be used as an intercom-style device without dialing a number first. Three status LEDs (Power, Network, DECT) give a quick read on whether the base is online and registered. Voice codecs cover G.711 (µ-law/a-law), G.722, G.723.1, G.729A/B, G.726-32, iLBC and OPUS.

Where a Grandstream DP752 DECT base station fits on a Saudi site

The added range and push-to-talk make the DP752 a fit for sites with more ground to cover than a single small office: a warehouse floor where a supervisor and a couple of pickers need to reach each other quickly, a clinic with corridors between departments, or a compound-style office where staff move between buildings. The push-to-talk function in particular suits teams that need short, immediate exchanges more than formal calls — a stock controller flagging a shortage to a floor lead, for instance — without adding a separate two-way radio system. SIP RFC3261 support, TR-069/XML provisioning and TLS/SRTP/HTTPS encryption mean it still integrates with a standard IP-PBX the same way any SIP endpoint would.

DP752 against the DP750 and DP755

The DP752 shares its 10-account, 5-handset ceiling with the DP750, so a buyer choosing between those two is choosing physical range and features rather than capacity: the DP750 is smaller and simpler, while the DP752 adds ECO mode, push-to-talk, a longer rated outdoor range with compatible handsets, and a larger 750-entry call log against the DP750’s smaller housing. The DP755 sits a tier above both — 20 SIP accounts, 10 registered handsets, a 1500-entry call log, full-duplex speakerphone and GDMS device management — for sites that need to register more handsets than either the DP750 or DP752 can carry. The DP752 makes sense when five handsets are enough but the site is larger or the workflow benefits from push-to-talk.

Deployment notes

The DP752 ships with the base unit, a universal power supply, an Ethernet cable, a quick start guide and the GPL statement — a PoE port needs only the base and a network cable, while a non-PoE port uses the supplied adapter. The unit measures 140.31 x 64.98 x 105 mm and weighs 140 g on its own (370 g including the power supply and packaging). It’s rated for -10°C to 50°C operation at 10–90% non-condensing humidity, and carries FCC, CE, RCM and IC compliance markings. Once registered on a PBX through TR-069/XML auto-provisioning, adding a sixth DP730 or replacing a handset is a pairing step at the base, not a re-wiring job — the same low-effort model used across the DP75 family.
