Overview
The Grandstream DP755 DECT base station is the capacity flagship of the DP75 family, built for sites that need to register more DECT handsets under a single base than the DP750 or DP752 allow. It supports up to 20 distinct SIP accounts and up to 10 registered DP-series handsets, with up to 20 lines available per handset and a 1500-entry call log kept on the base itself. Outdoor range reaches 400 meters with a DP730 handset or 350 meters with a DP722/DP720, and indoor coverage is rated at 50 meters. Power comes from PoE (IEEE802.3af Class 1, 0.44W–3.84W) or the included power adapter, and the base adds full-duplex speakerphone and GDMS device management for administering it alongside other Grandstream endpoints.
How the DP755 works on a larger site
With room for 10 handsets and 20 SIP accounts, the DP755 is built to run as the hub of a multi-team deployment rather than a single desk — Parallel Mode and HS Mode ring-group handling route calls across the registered handset pool. GDMS device management lets an administrator monitor and configure the base alongside other Grandstream devices from one place rather than logging into each unit separately, which matters once a site is running several bases. The built-in full-duplex speakerphone allows a handset to be used hands-free for short conversations without picking it up. Three status LEDs — Power, Network and DECT — give a quick visual check that the base is online and registered without opening an admin page. Protocol support extends to IPv6 alongside the standard SIP RFC3261 stack, and the voice codec set covers G.711 (µ-law/a-law), G.722, G.723.1, G.729A/B, G.726-32, iLBC, OPUS and G.722.2/AMR-WB on special order.
Where a Grandstream DP755 DECT base station fits on a Saudi site
The DP755 suits operations large enough to need double-digit handset counts under one base: a mid-sized warehouse with pickers and supervisors across several zones, a multi-department clinic, or a facility running several buildings where GDMS lets one IT contact manage every base centrally instead of visiting each site. Twenty lines per handset means individual staff can carry multiple extensions on one device — useful where a supervisor needs to answer both a direct line and a shared department line from the same handset. TR-069/XML auto-provisioning and TLS/SRTP/HTTPS encryption keep it consistent with how the rest of an IP-PBX deployment is managed.
DP755 against the DP750 and DP752
The DP750 and DP752 both cap out at 10 SIP accounts and 5 handsets; the DP755 doubles both figures to 20 accounts and 10 handsets, and its call log holds 1500 entries against the DP752’s 750. It also adds features neither smaller model carries: full-duplex speakerphone, GDMS device management, and IPv6 support. The physical footprint (140.31 x 64.98 x 105 mm, 140 g base weight) matches the DP752 rather than the more compact DP750. The choice comes down to headcount: once a site needs more than five handsets registered under one base, or central management across multiple bases, the DP755 is the model built for that, where the DP750 and DP752 are sized for smaller single-base deployments.
Deployment notes
The DP755 ships with the base unit, a universal power supply, an Ethernet cable, a quick start guide and the GPL statement. Rated operating temperature is -10°C to 45°C at 10–90% non-condensing humidity — a narrower ceiling than the DP750/DP752’s rated maximum, worth noting for equipment rooms that run warm. Storage temperature is rated from -20°C to 60°C, useful headroom when spare units sit on a shelf or travel between sites before installation. Compliance markings include FCC Part 15B/15D, a broad CE set (EN 55032/55035/61000-3-2/61000-3-3/60950-1/301489-1-6/301406/50385), RCM AS/NZS 32/60950.1, ANATEL, EAC and UL certification on the adapter — a wider certification footprint than the smaller DP75 models, relevant for multi-site or export-adjacent deployments. Adding handsets up to the 10-unit ceiling, or bringing a new DP755 into an existing GDMS-managed fleet, follows the same auto-provisioning workflow as the rest of the family.
