Grandstream GRP2616 6-Line IP Phone Dual-Screen PoE

The Grandstream GRP2616 is a 6-line professional carrier-grade IP phone that sits between a compact single-line desk unit and a high-capacity console model. It carries a dual-screen layout like the smaller models in the family – a 4.3-inch primary color display alongside a 2.4-inch secondary screen – but pairs that larger primary screen with six physical line keys and sixteen SIP accounts, giving it more line capacity than an entry desk phone while keeping the two-screen format that separates active-call information from directory or line-status details. Dual Gigabit Ethernet with integrated PoE, Wi-Fi 6 on hardware version 5.0 and newer, and Bluetooth round out the same connectivity set the rest of the GRP26 line carries, so the Grandstream GRP2616 fits the family’s balanced middle tier: bigger screen and more lines than the compact model, without the largest key count in the range.

Grandstream GRP2616 for Mid-Volume Desks

Six line keys suit a desk that handles more than one extension or department line but doesn’t need the full BLF bank of a dedicated console phone – a small team’s shared line, a supervisor’s desk that also answers for a colleague, or a department line that occasionally overflows onto a second number. The 4.3-inch primary display gives enough room to read caller information clearly at a glance, while the 2.4-inch secondary screen keeps a directory entry, a second line’s status, or basic phone settings visible without switching away from the main call view. RJ9 and USB headset support cover both a wired headset and a USB unit, and HD audio with 3-way local conferencing handle the everyday internal call and quick three-way discussion without routing through a bridge. The shared dual-screen layout also means a supervisor tracking a department line doesn’t need to switch between menus to check a colleague’s status or open the directory mid-call.

Where It Fits on a Saudi Office Floor

The GRP2616 suits a supervisor’s desk, a small branch counter, or a department line in office buildings across Riyadh, Jeddah, or the Eastern Province where more than one line needs to be handled but a full reception console would be more capacity than the seat requires. Integrated PoE on the dual Gigabit Ethernet ports lets it run from a single switch port with a second Ethernet pass-through to a nearby PC, and Wi-Fi 6 gives the same phone a wireless fallback for a desk added after the original cabling plan or a workspace that gets reconfigured periodically. The combination of sixteen SIP accounts and six physical line keys also suits a small branch reception point that serves more than one department without generating enough call volume to justify a full-capacity console phone.

Positioning Within the GRP26 Family

Against the family’s more compact model, the GRP2616 offers a larger primary screen and more line keys for a desk that has outgrown a single-line phone; against the family’s high-capacity model built around a large BLF bank, the GRP2616 keeps a lighter key count better matched to a desk that handles a handful of lines rather than monitoring an entire department’s status board. That middle position is the practical reason to choose it: buyers who need more than an entry desk phone but don’t need a dedicated console seat get the larger display and extra line keys without paying for BLF capacity they won’t use.

Deployment Notes

Because PoE is built into the network interface, installers can power the GRP2616 straight from a PoE switch port without a separate adapter, which keeps a supervisor’s desk or branch counter free of extra cabling. The phone ships with the same security baseline as the rest of the line – secure boot, dual firmware images, and encrypted data storage – so IT teams provisioning a mid-tier desk get the same protection they’d apply to any other phone in the deployment, with no separate configuration needed for this model.
